The new SSD promises three times more performance than the SATA model. For content creators and PC enthusiasts, the WD Blue SN500 NVMe SSD is optimized for multi-tasking and feature-rich applications, providing near-instant access to files and programs.
Keeping in mind the ever-growing storage demands, the new model is built on technology 3D NAND, firmware and controller of Western Digital, and offers sequential read and write speeds of up to 1.700MB/s and 1.450MB/s respectively (for the 500GB model), with efficient power consumption of just 2.7W.
