A Wi-Fi 6. The solutions presented at the event were developed to allow the creation of 5G applications through the improvement of APIs in the Android Q. 2t3z1z

According to Qualcomm, Google's new operating system, the Android Q, is designed to allow applications to detect the performance of 5G connectivity. That way, developers will be able to create new experiences based on the technology and its unique features – including multi-gigabit speeds and low latency.
"It's time for app developers to bring 5G to life, imagining multiple possibilities with 5G's multi-gigabyte connectivity and lightning-fast responsiveness."
said a Qualcomm product executive.
WiFi 6 and Smart home 6j2j6x
Smart homes, also known as connected homes, have become a trend in recent years. This housing concept involves the use of technology to ensure more comfort, safety and practicality for residents. Smart home applications continue to evolve, and use cases of this technology for the home were presented during a workshop held by Qualcomm, in Sao Paulo city.

These cases were demonstrated with the control of various IoT (Internet of Things) devices by voice command, using equipment with Wi-Fi 6, WiFi mesh, IoT and personal assistant integrated.
Another point that we must take into to understand how the Wi-Fi 6 is important for the evolution of Smart Home and its direct influence on the Internet of Things, using a set of digital devices that operate between networks facilitating the development of this technology. Unlike the regular Internet, it is only made up of sensors and other smart devices.
Edge Computing v1r63
One of the important concepts that was touched upon during the workshop concerns Edge Computing. The application is nothing less than a means of bringing data storage closer to a computer when needed, distributed across connected devices. Edge Computing reduces the amount of stored data that will travel between the network and the computer.

WiFi 6 in Brazil 361s6t
O Wi-Fi 6 comes to the Brazilian market with the intention of transforming the way Wi-Fi works, providing greater network capacity than previous Wi-Fi standards.

Communication service providers can now improve the Wi-Fi of its subscribers, paving the way for a wide range of smart home services with unprecedented speed, flexibility and simplicity.
A Qualcomm expects 5G to arrive in Brazil in 2020, said Rafael Steinha, president of Qualcomm in Latin America. According to him, over the next few years, the technologies that will command wireless communications will be the Wi-Fi 6 and 5G.
Features of WiFi 6 5hh70
The main features of the new Wi-Fi 6 are in the speed, which can reach an incredible 9,6 GB/s – in comparison, Wi-Fi 5 had a maximum speed of 3,5 GB/s -, the ability to have more devices connected, greater energy savings and more security with WPA3 .

Hamilton Mattias, Director and Product Manager of Connectivity for Latin America, explained during the workshop that the standard Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) seeks efficiency in serving congested networks, in an environment with more and more connected devices. Check out in more detail the main innovations of the new technology:
Main features of Wi-Fi 6 2k6u6y
- 8×8 MU-MIMO: Each router antenna has the ability to transmit a full path of information (MIMO or multiple input / multiple output, in English), for multiple s (MU or multiple , in English);
- 8×8 Sound: Using a technique called bean-forming, it is possible to make different paths for different devices.
- OFDMA: It is a data modulation technique that, due to several characteristics, is suitable for cognitive radio technology.
- Resource Scheduling: Key process of project and task management;
- Target Wake Time (TWT): New to this standard, it is possible to combine broadcast times with ed devices. This generates energy savings, as the device that connects to the router will only be able to “wake up” at the scheduled time of transmission. Ex: a power meter connected to the grid Wi-Fi 6 can alert this network that it will only send data every 6 hours.
The default settings Wi-Fi 6 are almost finished by Wi-Fi Alliance announcement, and the certification should be ready as of August this year. But smartphones and routers are already being manufactured with the latest presets of the standard. Check out the ones that are already on the market so far:

In addition to the built-in features mentioned above, the Wi-Fi 6 arrives with the WPA3 security protocol, created in June of last year. The purpose of the protocol is to be more efficient against hacker attacks, which are very common lately on the internet.
