The information was officially confirmed today by the company with the product GameStack.

With it, any game intended for these operating systems will be able to use Xbox Live's resources and online network, such as PlayFab, simplygon and Havok, in addition to the new features launched, which allow the creation of showcases of content generated by the s themselves.

In an interview with The Verge, Kareem Choudhry, head of the company's Games Division said:

We really bring these communities together with a unique experience for all these players.”

During the presentation, the Microsoft celebrated the growth of its cloud platform, which is now twice the size of its main competitor: Amazon. The company said it will continue to expand further.

A Microsoft wants to use its Azure services like PlayFab, Xbox Live and, soon, Project xCloud, to help developers reach gamers wherever they are, on whatever device they want to use. For now, the company has not revealed its partners in this regard.

As for the news related to the Nintendo Switch, the company said it had nothing to disclose at this time.

Microsoft already has some games that Xbox Live on mobile devices, most notably via Minecraft, which requires an Xbox Live on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch. So far, the Microsoft reserved Xbox Live on those platforms for its own games, but now, the Microsoft aims to bring Xbox Live cross-platform play to even more titles
