The company had named the 13 Ultra's lens as Simmicron and has now dubbed the 14 Ultra's as Summilux — in the terminology of Leica, “Simmicron” corresponds to an f/2 lens, while “Summilux” represents an f/1.4 lens. Technically speaking, the f/1.63 aperture of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra does not fit into this classification, but the reasoning of the marketing of the smartphone follows this line.
The main camera of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has the ability to capture images in UltraRAW, ed by a DNG format which contains all the image data. Xiaomi has not yet released international prices and availability.
