A Sony will most likely introduce two new smartphones in the MWC 2018. These are the Xperia XZ2 e XZ2 Compact. As with the Samsung and its Galaxy S9, much of the details of Sony's phones were also leaked, including price and technical specifications. 6h2o70
According to information, the two models will be part of the top-of-the-line segment, that is, in theory, they will be the best devices of the Japanese company. It also seems that the configuration of both will be the same. The only difference will be the screen, which in the Compact model will be smaller.
Thus, both cell phones will be equipped with the chipset Galaxy A8.
In the case of the minor version, the Xperia XZ2 Compact, the screen would have the same settings but in a 5-inch size. Both would be protected with the glass Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Another change from previous generations is the placement of the fingerprint reader, which goes from the side to the back, a place not very pleasant.
Finally, according to rumors, the devices will also not have the input for headphones (too bad) and will leave the factory with Android 8.1 Oreo installed. Check out all the technical specifications in the form of a list:
- 5,8-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, HDR and Corning Gorilla Glass 5;
- 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage;
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor;
- Fingerprint reader on the back;
- Android 8.1 Oreo.
Regarding prices, it seems that the Xperia XZ2 will cost US$ 987,00 (R$ 3.213,00) and the Xperia XZ2 Compact will leave by US$ 740,00 (R$ 2.409,00), with sales starting on March 6th. For the conversion, we are taking into the dollar exchange rate today. We also do not include possible import taxes and other charges. Obviously, when it arrives in Brazil, its value will easily exceed R$ 4 thousand.
Of course the Sony neither confirmed nor denied the claims. But we won't have to wait long to find out what's true, as next week Europe's biggest technology fair begins, MWC 18 and of course the showmetech will be there covering everything for you!
